We had a nice chat and they are absolutely amazing people. When we had public alfa we reached out FTL authors and share all our results with them. This is the best thing we could imagine about our work. Our players have already called Trigon "a love letter to FTL". We are trying to do our best and save important feelings but with our new vision about absolutely everything in the game. We know we do not have the same experience and talent as Subset Games, but we are driven by love and respect. Then we learned that the authors of FTL announced that the game would not have a sequel. One day we realized that 10 years have passed since the FTL release. So we didn't even consider other options. We had only one option - we want an FTL with a history of captains, more about galaxy exploration, crew management, and we want it Faster than Faster than Light by pace. We really love this and when we decided to try ourselves in game development, we didn’t doubt for a second what kind of game we wanted to make. This is a truly unusual gaming experience when you learn and learn not about the timing of character control, but how to make the right strategic decisions. But hardcore roguelike strategies are less common. It is difficult to surprise someone with a new platformer, card game, or survival game. We play a lot of games, and we spent countless hours playing FTL.įor sure FTL brought a new special genre of games.
